CLUB CONSTITUTION AND MEMBERSHIP RULES & REGULATIONS
ARTICLE 1: NAME AND AFFILIATION
1.1 The official name of the club shall be Fordax Speakers International Club, operating under license from Fordax Speakers International.
1.2 Each club shall carry the name of its location or sponsoring organization, e.g., Ikoyi – Fordax Speakers Club or Zenith Bank (Utako) – Fordax Speakers Club.
1.3 The club is affiliated with and governed by the rules, curriculum, and brand standards of Fordax Speakers International.
ARTICLE 2: PURPOSE
2.1 The purpose of the Fordax Speakers Club is to:
- Help members become confident, effective communicators and leaders.
- Provide a structured, track-based learning system for skill development.
- Offer a supportive, coach-led environment for practice and feedback.
- Promote personal and professional growth through public speaking.
ARTICLE 3: MEMBERSHIP
3.1 Eligibility
- Open to individuals aged 18 and above (or by school policy if a school club).
- Members must agree to follow the club’s rules, curriculum, and values.
3.2 Enrollment
- Membership is activated upon payment of dues and submission of the registration form.
- Members select a communication track upon joining.
3.3 Rights of Members
- Attend all club meetings and activities.
- Access to coaching, mentoring, and practice opportunities.
- Participate in elections, votes, and club decisions (if applicable).
3.4 Responsibilities of Members
- Regular attendance and participation in meetings.
- Respectful behavior toward fellow members and coaches.
- Completion of assigned speeches and feedback sessions.
- Compliance with club rules and standards.
3.5 Termination of Membership
- Membership may be revoked for non-payment, misconduct, or persistent absenteeism, subject to club leadership review. Upon such termination, there shall be no refund of payment.
ARTICLE 4: CLUB STRUCTURE
4.1 Club Leadership Roles
- Club Leader / Coordinator
- Membership & Attendance Officer
- Education / Track Progress Officer
- Event & Publicity Officer
4.2 Responsibilities of Club Leaders
- Ensure smooth operation of meetings and activities.
- Coordinate with Fordax HQ and report progress.
- Collect dues and manage club funds responsibly.
- Support members’ learning and personal development.
4.3 Coach Role
- Provide free coaching on official speaking tracks.
- Offer paid advanced coaching (optional).
- Give evaluations, mentorship, and training.
ARTICLE 5: MEETINGS
5.1 Frequency
- Clubs may meet weekly or bi-weekly, as determined by the club.
5.2 Format
- Meetings shall follow Fordax-approved formats.
- Each meeting must include prepared speeches, evaluations, and feedback.
5.3 Attendance
- Members are expected to attend at least 70% of meetings per quarter.
ARTICLE 6: DUES AND FEES
6.1 Membership Dues
- The standard monthly membership fee shall be set at ₦20,000 unless otherwise approved by Fordax HQ.
- Discounts for 3-, 6-, or 12-month payments are permitted.
6.2 Allocation
- 70-85% of dues go to the club lead for operations.
- 15-30% is remitted monthly to Fordax International as licensing royalty.
6.3 Coaching Fees
- Track coaching is free.
- Specialized coaching (e.g., one-on-one, outside curriculum) may incur extra charges.
ARTICLE 7: CODE OF CONDUCT
7.1 Core Values
- Respect, Growth, Excellence, Support, and Integrity.
7.2 Expectations
- No harassment, bullying, or discrimination.
- Punctuality and preparation for speeches.
- Constructive and respectful feedback at all times.
7.3 Disciplinary Actions
- Violations may result in verbal warnings, written notices, or suspension.
- Severe misconduct can result in membership termination, pending review by club leadership and Fordax HQ.
ARTICLE 8: LICENSING & BRAND STANDARDS
8.1 Brand Usage
- All clubs must use official Fordax branding, templates, and curriculum.
8.2 Licensing
- Each club operates under a renewable 12-month license from Fordax Speakers International.
- Clubs must remit royalties as agreed and maintain quality standards.
8.3 Club Audits
- Fordax HQ reserves the right to audit clubs for compliance and quality assurance.
- Club leaders are required to use only the officially approved club account for receiving payments related to the club.
ARTICLE 9: AMENDMENTS
9.1 This constitution may be amended or updated with approval from both the local club leadership and Fordax HQ.
9.2 Members must be notified of any major changes.
ARTICLE 10: DISSOLUTION
10.1 A club may be dissolved by:
- Majority vote of active members (with HQ approval), or
- License termination due to non-renewal, inactivity, or policy violations.
10.2 Upon dissolution, any remaining club funds shall be used to settle obligations or refunded as appropriate. All branding and resources must be returned or discontinued.
